Sheep above Christchurch

Early settlers house

Lyttleton was the hub for settlement on the south island over 150 years ago. They place all the unsightly or noisy stuff over here so the developing city was cleaner. So the port, goal (jail), lepper colony and working classes stayed here. Christchurch was esatblished with a strict class structure. It still feels a lot like it exists here today, unlike the rest of New Zealand which is far more laid back.

Sumner Mural

Sumner Surf Life Saving Club are having a wicked mural painted. The kiwis are not affraid of dressing their buildings in bright colours. This is a wonderful example, in progress currently.
